AirBand

This year, I had the unique challenge (and a lot of fun) designing the lighting for every organization competing in AirBand—a high-energy event where Greek orgs on campus create choreographed performances set to the artist of their choice, all to raise money for their philanthropies.

Airband performances are a secret until showtime, so I couldn’t put anything in the air until two days before the event. Everything was previsualized in Augment3d, with no on-stage programming until load-in. Once I had access to the space, it was a fast and focused turnaround—hanging, focusing, and programming unique looks for each group in a tight window.

It was a challenge in flexibility, planning, and problem-solving—and a great reminder of how much I can thrive working under pressure to bring big ideas to life.
